Roy and Silo were penguin couple at the New York Aquarium.

The pair were observed trying to hatch a rock that resembled an egg. When the aquarium staff realized that Roy and Silo were both male, it occurred to them to give them the extra egg of a mixed-gender penguin couple, which was being cared for in an incubator. Penguins can only care for one young at a time, and these other parents had abandoned one of their two eggs. This egg was given to Roy and Silo to care for, in place of their rock. The pair hatched and raised the healthy young chick, a female named "Tango" by keepers, together as a family. Their story is the basis for the children's book And Tango Makes Three.

Tango is now a healthy young female penguin. She's not yet formed a long-term relationship but is socializing.

In 2005, Roy and Silo separated, after some six years of paired behavior, with Roy remaining single. Silo found another partner, a female called Scrappy.

Naja, so toll ist sie nun auch wieder nicht-denn immerhin geht sie ja ab und zu feiern, lebt nicht nur zum Lernen und ist stolze Alkoholikerin. Und genau deshalb will Sie mit Euch allen am 16. Dezember auf das ich-bin-zurück-im-Leben anstossen.

Also, Mädels und Anhang: Am 16. Dezember gibt's ne Juppi!-ich-bin-Juristin-Party und wer schon was Besseres vor hat, wird von der Staatsanwaltschaft abgeführt, klar!!!
